What are the advantages of an Extrawheel?
Each Extrawheel trailer is extremely lightweight. We put great emphasis on weight saving in cycling as, generally, lighter is easier and more fun. The Extrawheel range is designed to be the market-leading product when it comes to weight.
Because all Extrawheels trailers are a single-wheel which sits very closely to your rear wheel, they track behind your bicycle better than a large two-wheel trailer would. This is where Extrawheel comes into a league of its own off-road. Cornering is easier and riders don't find themselves hitting obstacles at the side of tracks as they would with a wider trailer. Lumps and bumps are also handled better by the larger wheels as there is a wider surface area making contact with the ground which distributes the impact more evenly than a small wheel.
Providing they're the same size, the wheel in the trailer acts as a spare wheel for your bike should the disastrous happen and you buckle a wheel. A badly buckled wheel will run significantly better in the trailer than it will on your bike. Now with the Brave trailer, you can carry a spare front or rear wheel in the trailer.
Longevity of your bicycle
Packing the load onto an external trailer means that you are placing less strain on your bicycle's frame, meaning your bike and wheels will last longer than they would were you to carry a heavier load on the bike itself.
Road bike use
Ever wanted to go for a short tour on your road or racing bike but not been able to because you can't carry any luggage? Extrawheel makes carrying panniers on a road bike possible. The attachment to the bike is via a specially designed quick-release skewer, so the trailer will fit to road bikes. This means you could go for a short tour (for example London-Paris) or commute with you road bike. The low weight and ability to fit a lightweight wheel to the trailer also means you will not be unstable on the bike.
